This painting captures the tropical rainforest colour of waterlilies with a contemporary twist using specially hand-cut stencils, a feature in my recent work, creating differences between form and layers. Strong brushstrokes indicate the soft movement of the water. Often found near temples to instil a sense of peace and tranquillity.
The waterlily signifies peace, harmony and good fortune. A percentage of sales received by the artist will be donated to the Rainforest Trust which helps in research and the protection of rainforests across the world.
